Yesterday I went to the "Central" to watch Spain play against Portugal in the 6 Nations B. Spain played extremely well and deserved their victory. For me, the forwards made all the difference in what really should have been one way traffic from Portugal, so well done chaps.
But it got me thinking, what really is the motivation to win the 6 Nations B? Out of the group, no one probably even knew their was a match. Many people in the UK don't even know that there is a 6 Nations B.
That got me thinking. Why dont we have a relegation and promotion zone? The champion in B gets promoted and replaces the loser in the 6 Nations. How quickly would Rugby grow in other nations if Spain could play France, England or Wales. Or if England went to Georgia to play?
