I agree with a Spanish blog I read. How rubbish is Tele5 and in particular Salvame

What she basically says is that tele 5 has an absolute lack of respect towards the viewer. In particular she criticizes Sálvame and its cousin, the one that is shown for the people who live in my block upstairs and watch television at night at full volume, Sálvame Deluxe. For weeks they have been basically criticizing Carmen Lomana.

The blog criticizes Salvame for talking about peoples sex lives, personal issues and anything else it can think off (did you see what she was wearing ooooh) when children are at home. It is targeting the mothers who try to educate to their children as “good people” and who see television those hours. The blog asks how the Government (useless) that we have in this country does not make any effort to withdraw this program from the schedule as it breaches the Code of Self-regulation on Televising Contents and Childhood, This program does not fulfill several of its fundamental principles.

By the way, does anyone know what Carmen did? Why is she “famous”?

If you can read Spanish, go to http://dicholocual.blogspot.com/.  It is very funny.

From a personal perspective, I am so cheesed off with Spanish television, which is basically a 24 hour advertising campaign interspersed with regular football updates (hardly ever a game) and programs where people of dubious character (generally people who are known for having slept with someone who has done something) shout at each other through injected lips.

I am so bored of television here that I have asked permission from the community where I live to put a satellite dish on my roof, so large that I may be mistaken as a NASA engineer, to get channels from overseas, where television is still seen as a source of education, current affairs and entertainment.
